Happy Independence Day!
Tomorrow is our nation's birthday!
The day it was declared that we are a free nation.
We are free!
Many feel our freedoms are being challenged. I would suggest that they have always been and are still being challenged.
William Wallace, from the film Braveheart, asks his troops "what will you do WITHOUT your freedom.. Think about that.
For the Christian, we have been granted liberty from the bondage of sin and death as we are "no longer slaves" to iniquity (Ro 6:6).
We have been set free.... Granted independence.
Given the choice to choose life over death (Deut 30:19).
But our independence is only assured if we choose to be dependent upon the only true freedom fighter, The Lord Jesus Christ.
So, the question is not "what will you do without your freedom", but rather "what will you do WITH your freedom!"
