Good morning mighty men of valor,
Life Scriptures..... Do you have them?
These are the scriptures that you immediately run to when you are feeling... well let's say "off"... "out of order"... troubled.
It is imperative that you establish these and make them part of your being.
It is the "muscle memory" of the Christian walk.
Remember in Mat 4 when Jesus was in the wilderness and Satan challenged him? ... He responded immediately with "It is written..."
Muscle memory.... the Word was part of Him and just came out.
The athlete practices and practices to develop this muscle memory.
Jordan taking shot after shot until his body just performs when it counts.
Aaron Judge working in the batting cage, day after day, to develop the perfect swing and then drills it into his being so he can call on that swing in the game... muscle memory.
We are to do the same with scripture if we are going to "resist the devil and he will flee".
Jesus said that in this world we will have trouble, but He overcame the world (John 16:33).
I tell you this.... You cannot overcome the world without applying the Word of God.
So start with 5.
What scripture do you use ...
--- when illness approaches?
--- when you feel alone?
--- when you face a financial challenge?
--- when you are weary?
--- when you struggle with sin?
whatever your struggles.
Let me know one of your personal verses.
Maybe it will help someone else.
Think About it!
