Good morning mighty men of valor.
Blessings to all our veterans as we celebrate Veterans Day.
I was thinking about those who responded to the call to serve our country.
For some, it was the call of patriotism to defend our nation in time of war.
For many of us, we were young and perhaps didn't fully realize the sacrificial commitment we were making at first, only to grow into the responsibility freedom often demands.
Let us honor the men and women who served the American people... all American people, to establish and sustain our freedoms.
For the Christian, we fight not against flesh and blood, but a spiritual enemy (Eph 6:12).
"For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty in God for the pulling down of strongholds..." (1 Cor 10:4).
As we pause and acknowledge our veterans, let us also remember those who fought for you and me in spiritual battles.
For that grandparent or parent that fought for you with unending prayers and fasting, on their knees, weeping for you, praise God as you victory was sealed with the sacrifice of Christ.
For that intercessor that accepted the assignment to serve or support those in the mission field... or perhaps, the single neighbor across the street.
For that friend that stood alongside you during your toughest battle.
For the pastors that sowed into the lives of the congregations as they received their orders from our "Commander in Chief".
For the martyrs who died for the truth and freedom of God.
Let us also remember these veterans of spiritual warfare.
Think about it!
