Men's Monday Message: Work or Worship

Good morning mighty men of God,

So, how do you face a Monday morning?

With dread? Worry? Exhausted before you start?

Like a rat in a rat race that never ends thus you can never win?

One more day, one more week closer to retirement ... Oh glorious day!

Really? ever talk to a retired person?

May I suggest a different perspective....

Perhaps a different question needs to be asked first.

"What is the purpose of our work?"

I'm not talking about the money reason and, yes, we need things that require money, thus we go to "work".

I am talking about how God sees the purpose of our work...

God's purpose fulfilled in our work.

Ever think about that?

That God has a purpose to our work.

That God cares about our work.

That He is IN our work.

That when we awake each morning we are going to meet-up with God for the day.

To work side-by-side, not just complete a task, an assignment, a project, but to show those around us the Father through our work.

Our work is not just a reflection of ourselves but a reflection of Him.

That we get to reflect, to re-present, Jesus to those who do not know Him each day through our work.

Maybe that's the purpose?

I would pray that you receive and embrace the revelation that you and God are going out this day.... everyday.... together to accomplish His purpose.

That you seek to find and to show the Kingdom of God first... all the other stuff will be provided to you.

Work..... or is it really worship?

It should be hard to tell the difference.

Strength and Honor, but only for His Glory,
